The birds, flowers and vines on the burgundy Gaia Vermillion wallpaper (House of Hackney collection) give the room a unique fiery glow. This luxury residence is located on the second floor of the guest house just next to the small lounge where you can enjoy a tea in peace. You enjoy it eand a wide view of the restored Art-Deco church of Saint Roch and the fully landscaped backyard of Villa Servais. Joseph Servais was born in Halle in 1850 as the youngest son of Adrien Francois and Sophie. He grew up in a musical family and came into contact with numerous artists, musicians and poets who were at home with the Servais family. Like his father, he became a leading cello virtuoso and performed all over Europe. at 21ste he became a popular cello teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Joseph died at Villa Servais in 1885.
